Never Enough
In this episode, I explore the pervasive human tendency to feel like things are "never enough," drawing parallels between societal desires for more and the damaging mindset that can lead to emotional abuse. I discuss how this "never enough" mentality, while sometimes a driver of progress, can become a harmful habit when it fuels self-criticism and diminishes our sense of self-worth. A key insight is that many of us engage in emotional abuse towards ourselves, mirroring the symptoms seen in abusive relationships, often stemming from a core belief that we are fundamentally not enough. The practical application lies in recognizing these self-abusive thought patterns, questioning their validity, and transforming our relationship with our own thoughts, much like learning not to believe every pervasive thought that arises, ultimately leading to liberation and freedom.
