Questions About Buddhism
In this episode, I introduce my new book, *No Nonsense Buddhism for Beginners*, which addresses common questions about Buddhism in a clear and accessible way. The book is structured into four parts: questions about the historical Buddha, core Buddhist concepts like the nature of good and evil and the idea of rebirth versus reincarnation, core teachings on the nature of self and the five skandhas, and core practices such as mindfulness meditation. A key takeaway is that Buddhism encourages looking inward to understand suffering and our own minds, rather than seeking external solutions. The practical application lies in using mindfulness to break cycles of reactivity and develop a more nonjudgmental awareness of our thoughts and emotions, much like observing clouds without assigning them value.
