The War Within
In this episode, I explore how to find peace in a world filled with violence by examining the "three poisons" of ignorance, greed, and hatred, which are the root causes of suffering and conflict within ourselves and society. I explain that these poisons, when left unchecked, manifest as harmful actions, much like a poisoned tree bears poisonous fruit. The key takeaway is that world peace begins with inner peace, and we can cultivate this by applying the antidotes: wisdom for ignorance, gratitude for greed, and loving-kindness for hatred. Practical applications include daily "poison check-ins" to identify these patterns in our own lives and the "ripple practice" of extending well-wishes outward, starting with ourselves, to transform inner conflict and contribute to a more peaceful world.
